چکیده

We consider the selective graph coloring problem, which is a generalization of classical problem. Given together with partition its vertex set into clusters, we want to choose exactly one per cluster so that number colors needed color selected vertices minimized. This problem known be NP-hard. In this study, focus on an exact cutting plane algorithm for in perfect graphs. Since there exists no suite instances best our knowledge, also propose randomly (but not uniformly) generate graphs, and provide large collection available online. conduct computational experiments test method graphs varying size densities, compare results state-of-the-art from literature solving integer programming formulation by CPLEX. Our demonstrate solution strategy significantly improves solvability

A cutting plane algorithm for graph coloring

We present an approach based on integer programming formulations of the graph coloring problem. Our goal is to develop models that remove some symmetrical solutions obtained by color permutations. We study the problem from a polyhedral point of view and determine some families of facets of the 0/1-polytope associated with one of these integer programming formulations. The theoretical results de...

A complete algorithm to solve the graph-coloring problem

The Graph k-Colorability Problem (GCP) is a well known NP-hard problem which consist in finding the k minimum number of colors to paint the vertices of a graph in such a way that any two vertices joined by an edge have always different colors. Many years ago, Simulated Annealing (SA) was used for graph coloring task obtaining good results; however SA is not a complete algorithm and it not alway...

An exact algorithm with learning for the graph coloring problem

Given an undirected graph G=(V ,E), the Graph Coloring Problem (GCP) consists in assigning a color to each vertex of the graph G in such a way that any two adjacent vertices are assigned different colors, and the number of different colors used is minimized. State-of-the-art algorithms generally deal with the explicit constraints in GCP: any two adjacent vertices should be assigned different co...

Graph coloring , perfect graphs 1 Introduction to graph coloring

Let us improve this bound. Assume that G is a connected graph and T is its spanning tree rooted at r. Let us consider an ordering of V (G) in which each vertex v appears after its children in T . Now, for v 6= r we have |N(vi) ∩ {v1, . . . , vi−1}| ≤ deg v − 1, so c(vi) ≤ deg vi for vi 6= r. Unfortunately, the greedy may still need to use ∆(G) + 1 colors if deg r = ∆(G) and each child of r happ...

Quantum-Inspired Evolutionary Algorithm to Solve Graph Coloring Problem

Graph Coloring Problem (GCP) bears an enormous significance to the researchers in the field of soft computing. In this paper, we demonstrate a Quantum-Inspired Evolutionary Algorithm (QEA) to solve GCP. We use two dimensional arrays of Q-bits called Q-bit individual to produce binary individual. Q-gate operation is applied as a variation operator on Q-bit individuals. In traditional evolutionar...
